Tools we recommend

Affiliate disclosure: Some links are affiliate links. If you sign up, LaunchLatch may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. We only recommend tools we'd use.

These are tools we actually recommend for shipping vibe-coded apps safely. Each one comes with a safety tip, because the tool only helps if it's set up right.

Railway: hosting and backends

Railway runs servers, workers and databases without DevOps work, which makes it an easy home for the backend code your AI builder writes. New users get $20 in credit through our link.

Safety tip: keep secret keys in Railway's environment variables, never in your repo or frontend.

Supabase: database and auth

Supabase is the default backend for Lovable and Bolt apps: Postgres, auth and storage in one place, with a generous free tier.

Safety tip: turn on row-level security (RLS) for every table, because your anon key is public. Follow our Supabase RLS checklist.

Clerk: authentication

Clerk gives you polished sign-in, sign-up and user management in a few lines, so you aren't trusting AI-generated auth code.

Safety tip: check the session on the server for every protected route, not just by hiding buttons in the UI.

Lovable: AI app builder

Lovable turns a prompt into a working full-stack app fast, and it's where many of our readers start.

Safety tip: before you share your app, view the page source and search for service_role and sk-. See how to fix an exposed key.

Vercel: frontend hosting

Vercel deploys from GitHub with preview URLs for every change, and the free plan covers most side projects. This site runs on it.

Safety tip: only variables prefixed NEXT_PUBLIC_ (or VITE_) reach the browser, so never put secrets in those.

gitleaks or GitGuardian: catch leaked keys

gitleaks is a free, open-source scanner that finds API keys in your repo and its history. GitGuardian does the same automatically on every push.

Safety tip: run gitleaks git before you make a repo public. If it finds a key, rotate it, because deleting it from the code isn't enough.

Not sure your setup is safe?

LaunchLatch checks your app for exposed keys, open databases and broken auth, with a report in 24 hours. The first 5 beta audits are free.
